Phytoplankton and uv

Hi, I don’t have a sump. My question is “are phytoplankton, copes, etc affected by uv sterilizers? All of my life forms are in my DT and all of the water column passes through the skimmer and uv.

I believe uv is used very effectively on fresh water ponds to control microalgae blooms.

I think that too. I purchased some phytoplankton from algeabarn and copes and im not sure are to the uv effect if any.
