Novice question. Seeded my new cycled tank with copepods and started dosing live phytoplankton. I cycled the tank dark, should I turn on the lights for the phytoplankton or can I keep it off?

You can keep it off, phyto not gonna polute your tank a lot. Turn off skimmer for like 30 to 40 minutes when yoy feed phyto. You'll will see your glass litter with white tiny pods and eventually amphipods is best of all pods.
