Now I am going to be a little embarrassed if this is already common knowledge but it took me almost 4 years to learn that if we increase the bubble size on our phytoplankton culture the sound virtually goes away it also improves water agitation. May not be much but wend my culture is in my living room it does a big difference.

with a simple adapting ive increased the bubble to an inch size and virtually silenced.
definitely worth a go

Hi, yes I like the syringe as it’s quite straight forward and it fits perfectly with hard tubing also. The goal here is to increase the diameter on the tubing. The bigger the diameter the bigger the bubble gets. Amazingly the bigger bubbles are way more silent that the smaller ones as per vid.

Anno I just stumbled to it by chance, missus loves it though she was getting annoyed with the tank sound.
