Phytoplankton Culture Issues

Hi. New to the forum but I've been lurking for a while.

I thought I had nanno phyto, but under a microscope I see this. My culture seems to be getting darker everyday but I'm not sure I have nanno anymore. Bad algae? My culture smells fine. What this stringy stuff?

I’m not sure what you’re growing but it looks like green worm DNA under the scope, but perhaps someone else more knowledgeable with micro organisms will weigh in?

Maybe diatoms? hard to tell because of the resolution
