This thread is aimed to report my attempt at keep a phytoplankton culture going on phytoplankton and some trace elements.

My culture was started 2 weeks ago, with a co2 bottle on 1bps in a 1,5 L reactor am also dosing iron and manganese 1ml every 7 days.

so far nothing to report it’s been colouring fine and just starting dosing 40 ml a day from the culture on my continuous method.

the aim am looking for is to dose phytoplankton continuous in the tank with a low po4 and low no3 solution eventually I’d like to see if I can keep the culture going with just the co2 available in the house.

Small update, the experiment has worked. Now just using the co2 from the house to keep the culture going.
Just air pump and tank water top ups.

How did I miss this? Following

can you share a bit more? Diagram or system-wide pics? Do you feed tank water into your reactor? Have you measured the phyto density?

Thanks!
