Phytoplankton Culture

Good evening guys,

I’ve made two cultures of phytoplankton but I can never get a dark green color. The first time I left the culture for 7 days and the second time for 10 days but both times it came out with a lighter green tint. Im using f/2 fertilizer. Am I doing something wrong? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Cool thanks. I was just seeing some really dark green cultures thought maybe I was doing something wrong.

I'd get maybe slightly darker than that with my nanno. Colors of different types are different too, so some of those real dark examples you see are different phytos, or a mix of them.

Something about the color, in the the bottle that it is in, bothers me lol

My special reserve for my tank buddies. They get a shot every other day! Really gets the polyps all wacky and dancing around. Maybe 2 or 3 shots and I'll have a spawning event after lights out!

More irritation with air works for me .. I use to get it light green but after turning it up been hulkier lol
