Hey Jamsoury, use the specific phytoplankton fertilizer called 'f2' (sold under many names). Try to avoid terrestrial plant fertilizers like Miracle Grow, which may have other pollutants and metals that will concentrate in your food chain, as you are growing a primary producer that everything else will eat. Florida Aqua farms is a good source - sold as Micro Algae Grow... Some people use Miracle Grow, which can work, but isn't worth the risk in my opinion. F2 is pretty cheap and a little goes a long way...

I'll get the pods from algae barn. I signed up for their email list and got a buy 1 get 1 free coupon.
Are you doing anything to transfer the pods from that Refugium into the main tank?I had a tank full of pods, still have a lot but since I put the scooter blenny in, he's made a pig of himself. And I just added 2 mandarins. So I need to be adding pods I'm sure. I have a display refugium with pods but it's not hooked up yet.
