Recently noticed a bunch of white and what looks like phytoplankton on my front glass. I’m wondering how it could’ve got in my tank and if I need to be concerned.

Copepods;)

Must’ve got brought in on a coral
After my 3th week build nano reef, set up with LR, I got bloom of copepods..., there was hundreds if no thousand of them in the small tank, 2 weeks later they almost gone and there left under hundred in the tank., now it's full with isopods, copepods amphipods etc.., after you stable the tank and all the cycles are going thru all the stuff will come on normal way and you will have many (if fish there probably nothing) of all different *pods creatures, which will clean and maintain the tank and they are part of the CUC. So don't worry about xD

Nice! I have to buy those. Six line Wrasse keeps the population down!

Why would you want to keep the population down? They eat the algae and detritus in the tank. Their population grows by available food.

Not only that they are good food for corals and fish.

I don’t want the population down but the six line ensures that the population stays small. I find myself buying pods all the time!
