Phytoplankton...live or frozen?

I have featherdusters, some lps and softies in a 10 gal nano reef...I am wondering if frozen phyto will do or should I buy the bottled live stuff?...in 10 gal., I'm not going to use much so I'd rather do frozen if these guys will accept it...or should I forget it altogether and let them live off of the algae and such that's in the reef?...So far I've been using Kent Microvert...maybe 2X/week...What do you reefers think?

I've also had good luck with live pods and phytoplankton from AlgaeBarn.

I would think that frozen is useless. With such a small tank I would do drops from a bottle. It will take like 10 seconds per day.

What about Kent marine liquid phyto?...any better...good...useless?

I've never used it but it probably works ok. Better than nothing...the feather dusters will probably really like it.

Did you build that yourself? If so, do you have a build thread? I have always wanted to grow my own but have been intimidated because I have no idea where to start.
