So I have noticed over the past month that I have a increase in empty snail shells. Tank parameters are good so just not sure it they are dying or getting picked off by a fish here's list of fish:
Yellow tang
Hippo tang
Blue chromis
Seabae
Melanarus wrasse
Royal gramma
Clown
Fox face rabbbit
Seals Cardinal
Bangaggi cardinal

Any hermits?? They're notorious for robbing shells.

hermits will take them out as above and some snails just don't last that long and die off.

Polyclad Flatworms smoother and eat snails leaving only the shell. A few worms like Eunice will also dine on snails.

Time to break out the red light and go on a stakeout. Lol

Forgot to ask, how old is the tank? Is there enough algae to sustain snails? What type of snail specifically?

The melanarus could be making a snack of them. I had one that liked to nip the trunks off my nassarius snails...

X2 this was my thought. They're worth the clean up crew replacement, I did it bi-annually so I could keep my wrasses! :)
