Picking a new tank

I've been enjoying my RS Max E-170 and things are going well in there, but I think I'd like a second tank to do something different in. I've been looking for something to customize in the sub 30 gallon range. How do you decide to pick a new tank? I keep wavering on IM, Coralife, SCA, and Fluval. Basically i can see a way to do something in every tank I look at. Any advice or guidance?

A 30 gallon drop off tank would be great to customize something unique.

I have a Red Sea 450 and a Biocube 29. I do more lps and softies in the cube because I don't run a skimmer. Higher nitrates but stays in 10 to 20 range. Gonis and zoas love it.
