I have a 20-gallon mixed reef and wondering what's a good, but budget-friendly ATO. I was debating the Hygger mini or the JBJ advanced ATO. If anyone has any experience with those please tell me your thoughts on them. Also, if anyone else has any other suggestions I would love to hear them!

I have the kamoer ato one se and love it. Have had it for about 7 months now and have no complaints. I started out with it on a 32g and upgraded tanks to a 105g and am still using it on the 105 and it works perfectly, would highly recommend. I have tried the tunze nano ato and did not like it at all.

Just wondering why didn’t you like the Tunze atos?

I run Tunze on all 3 systems including my 20g nano. Never had an issue. I have a nano on my frag system thats 6+ years old with the same pump.
My 20g aio nano and 5g bucket with Tunze ato.

My son ordered a power free gravity Ato from Amazon. It is perfect. Screws on to a 1000ml bottle

If you ant a cheap ATO DIY. I did mine for about $13. It has a 19 Litre reservior and when the bottle is low another float s/w cutsout the pump and activates a horn. It has a s/w to silence the horn so you can refill the bottle. If i was to do it again I would have another floa s/w in paralel with the low lvl float as as high level cutout s/w to stop overflows. Very cheap to do

I just installed this one. I had a similar one, and the sensor went out. I had it for a few years though...

So far, it's awesome.

It may have just been a faulty one I got since everyone else likes them. It was pretty loud and would also do this thing where it would turn on and off very quickly until I moved the float switch, this happened at least once a day.
