I am starting to pick out all the parts and pieces to build my sump and am currently looking at a new skimmer. I have a CPR skimmer that definitely needs upgraded when I install my sump. I keep hearing how people love their reef octopus so that is what I am currently looking at. My tank is 60g with medium to heavy bio load. My sump will be a 20g L at least, maybe even bigger. I can't decide if the reef octopus 110 is adequate or if the 150 will be better suited for me. Or if anyone else has suggestions for a skimmer for 200-300$ that would be great.
