Honestly, the best thing to do with those is QT a school of little ones and then stick them in a really large DT. They won't fight with one another because they were all introduced at the same time and for some reason schooling them (in a large tank) cuts down on aggression towards tankmates.

I completed the second transfer today and administered the first dose of prazi. I'm sitting down now and observing them and now it looks like the hippo has some white spots.

By which transfer should I no longer be seeing white spots?

I picked up the fish around 2 pm on Saturday and did the first transfer at 11 am today.

It also looks like the powder blue damaged his nose when they were taken out of the old tank

The hippos nose has damage too. Possibly from the old owner taking hum out of the tank??

I would expect to not see any more spots after this next transfer. The nose damage should heal on it's own, but if they have problems or it gets infected, you may need to dose antibiotics.

7-8 days after the white spots first showed up, you should stop seeing them. They may disappear even sooner.

Just read up on HLLE. I have no idea what they were fed before me but I'm feeding the LRS herbivore mix, Hikari seaweed extreme and some nori rubber banded to a pvc pipe.

I'll also be adding selcon after reading the link by @Humblefish.
Anything else I should add to the mix of food?

Zoecon, Vita-chem, there are a bunch of different vitamin supplements you can try.

Also feed him as much nori as he will eat.

Completed my next transfer this morning and after they settled down i observed them for a bit and I can't see any more white spots

But now it looks like the powder blue is feeling better because he is the aggressor.

I have been offering nori daily but the yellow and now the blue won't allow the hippo to swim. They keep him pinned under s pvc pipe.

I think I'll set up 3 stations of nori so each tang has their own.

I have completed the TTM and my 2 week observation is ending on Thursday. I was observing the fish and the powder blue started to line up to a piece of PVC and attempt to scratch. He did the motion but never touched the PVC pipe. I continued to observe him for another 10 minutes and he did not attempt the move again.

The powder blue is really messing up my plans :mad: LOL. I was to pickup and purple tang on Friday and I was planning on bleaching and cleaning this tank and resetting it for the purple.

How long should I add to observation to be safe? Another 2 weeks?

Yes, if the PBT still has a disease visible symptoms should show or behavioral symptoms should worsen by then.

@Humblefish you made the right call I can't believe it the blue hippo has ich again! All those transfers! I am so glad I saw the flasing! Saved my DT

My only concern is the hippos HLLE is not getting better and the copper won't help

It should improve once he is out of copper and in the DT.

I decided to separate the powder blue from the blue hippo. The powder blue was pretty aggressive in the 20 gallon tank and keeping the hippo pinned down, 6 more weeks would not help. Now they all have their own tank.

The blue hippo is getting coppersafe and the powder blue is getting CP.

So currently I have:
2 x 10 gallon qt
3 x 20 gallon long qt
1 x 30 gallon qt ;Facepalm

My wife is going to kill me lol! I am running out of room in the basement trying to keep them all 10 ft apart
