A local coral/fish seller offered me a great deal on mature, wet, live rock which I’ll be going to pick up next week. I’m getting around 80 pounds. My goal is to use 5 gallon buckets with water to transport them to minimize any die-off and it will be going straight into the tank. My question is, how many buckets should I prepare to bring for this much rock? I know it’s going to vary depending on density, shape, size, etc but I’m trying to get a ballpark idea to make sure I’ll have enough.
