Pickupman66"s Downsized Simplified 66 rimless

UGh. im so lazy in updating this thread. So tank has been humming along but not so hot. I have lost the two new clams, the small 2 head torch and 6 of the heads on the big torch. I have NO CLUE what happened to them. they just up and died. RTN like into brown stinky goo. I hacked up the big one and it still sits in the area. just waiting for me to get the mind to clean it back up and throw it into some epoxy so it can stand up. the clams looked awesome, then up and died. no clue but Maybe pyramid snails as I found some on the snails. I cleaned them all off and we go from there.

Oh yea, the little anthia, yea her/his name is now LUCKY. my boys found her on the floor one morning. she was barely alive. they tossed her in and she is alive. eating well and everything.

WOW. look at Lazy me.

so the tank is still up, churning right along. Clowns still laying eggs regularly. I just swapped to a Radion gen 3 so we will see what that does.

Tank is looking great. Neat to see the progression and that you've not changed the aquascape.

It changed slightly because of the two moves and the rock on the left had issues going back. Boys would run thru house and it would fall. I had to restack and epoxy a few months ago. But still very similar.

OK. time for another photo dump here. Tank is churning along. I am slowly figuring out the Radion. I think I may finally have it dialed in. The Archon Controller is Performing admirably. after almost 3 years with no SPS, I made the step back into that realm last month. It started of with a Massive Green with blue tip stag. Then at the MTRC frag swap, I picked up a few acros to test out as well. Probably means i will need to be more involved with the tank. Anyways, enjoy the photo dump.

So, the Clam didnt like the Radion Change. I honestly think it was lack of light at the bottom of the tank. Problem is too much at other spots higher up. Kinda bummed about this as I had Really high hopes on the Radion.

I think I have had a few higher up zoas melt too, but then i see others flourishing so ... IDK> anyways, I am putting my coil denitrator back on line to help control the nitrates. all of my Euphelia are wicked happy.

now some photos:

It look fantastic Lindsey. :-)

Sorry to hear about the clam. LED's definitely take fine tuning and not everything responds well (IDK), I learned that the hard way.

How are your sps doing?

Thank you for the update. :-)

Brief Update. not much changed. I did end up losing the Clam and the Red Scoly. Not sure why on the clam except it could have been light. It was just never happy with that Radion. Ever. on the Scoly, It woudl never give me a feeding response. I could never find a sweet spot light wise for it so it never inflated. unlike the alien eye one right next to it that stays quite puffed out. this one has coloredup. not as much yellow as before but it does look better. Some zoas have receded, some have expanded. the large Stag seems to be putting on lenght to the tips. the other acroporas didnt fare as well. green limer goe sup and down. probably attributable to my husbandry or lack there of. DIY cheato reactor failed misreably so I am really considering going back to a bio pellet in it. Maybe. possibly. IDK. May dry Dr Tims instead of the brs ones. Maybe Ecobak. still undecided.

Anyways, here be some photos. and a video
