Just picked up two occelaris clowns Friday put them in qt and have tried feeding them Frozen mysis, frozen brine, very tinny pellet, marine flake, tropical flake and freeze dried copepods and haven't really seen them eat anything they chase it mouth it and spit it out. Tried soaking in garlic they get in a frenzy when they smell the food but I'm a little worried there not eating enough. Is this a normal thing with clowns?

Just double check the params and your QT tank and give them a little bit of time. Make sure everything is good and there and you're removing any uneaten food and they should come around. Clowns tend to eat anything they can get their mouths on so they may just not be settled in yet.

My clowns took a week and a half before they started eating mysis. But that could have been my fault. Because I soaked the mysis in fresh water. Once I used tank water, they eat just fine.

Clowns usually eat pretty well. Post your parameters?

Interesting. You can always resort to live brine for small foods that entice feeding response -- as an added bonus they may help bridge the gap to eating frozen mysis :)

Ya my qt water perimeters are solid I don't let them get outta wack the fish are already stressed just do to the new move and then when I Prophylactically treating that can cause them to stop eating so I keep those numbers at zero which I test every few days
