Okay, experts: I've had two fish for about four months now...and I can't get them to budge from their favourite foods.

Problem child number one: my cute little centropyge venusta, which insists that mysis brine shrimp flakes are, literally, the only thing that is or ever will be "food". I've tried everything else, from clams on the half shell, masstick, grindal worms, special home blends and more...and it ignores it all. Aside from soaking the flakes in selcon. Is this a complete diet? Is there anything that I can do aside from adding selcon?

Problem child number two: my CBB, which has the same addiction...to mysis shrimp. Again, can selcon provide a complete nutritional profile?

Have you tried starving them for a little while, also try mixing a new food in with the old, they’ll eat it by mistake, gradually reduce the Mysis flake, have to say the foods you mentioned don’t sound that enticing, grated octopus, fish eggs, squid etc etc if you haven’t tried those, worth a try.

My "home blends" do include a mixture of many types of frozen delicacies, and I mix the mysis in with that -- no dice.

I do have some roe, though, and haven't tried that. Thanks for the reminder!
