Hey guys! i just started my pico reef and its currently cycling. I have a 70 watt florescent light in which im going to use on this tank. Is this enough to support corals and anemones? Is this enough light for a 5 gallon tank? I might be adding a second one so the lighting may be doubled! Thanks for your help!

How about doing a screw in LED spotlight. :)

haha, because leds are expensive. right now im using this under cabinet light. it barely give off any heat so evaporation wont be a problem. It was 10 dollars at Walmart. If it would work then its a very cheap way of lighting!it is rated 4200 k's. do you think i need to upgrade?

I guess it really depends on your preference. I think 4200k would be a little too yellow for my taste, but it may be fine for you.

screw in led spots aren't so bad...check them out at home depot or lowes...especially if the yellower light doesn't bother you
