pico reef

looking for an all in one pico tank that will be sufficient for flower and normal anemones under 5 gallons what do you recommend?
Personally I wouldn’t do a nem tank that small. Nems need really good water quality, and although you can technically get away with it with good husbandry and maintenance, it’s going to be a lot of trial and error while that system gets established. Aka - buying anemones, they die, you test water, do water changes, spend money on different filtration methods, and the cycle repeats until you get the maintenance schedule/filtration right.

Which can all be avoided by just doing what you want with a bigger tank.

Also, most anemones get pretty big. Flower nems stay manageable, but under 5G will fill up fast with two or three.

Do you want that small of a tank because it’s a space issue?

+1

While it is certainly doable with some species of anemones in a 5g, it can be a bit tricky.

Otherwise any tank should do, preferably one with the filtration system taking up as much space as possible.
