Well......I'm back! I have now gone 5 months without a saltwater aquarium due to college and It's killing me! I had to unfortunately break down and sell everything out of my old tank and well......head to the college life. I feel empty without a tank in my life and after much thought I'm going to get a pico tank to give me something to do on my free time when I'm not studying marine biology. I have a few guidelines for this upcoming tank.

1)4-8gallons. (Yes, I know that keeping a smaller tank is harder on parameters, BUT I'm up for the challenge and I'm not a noob lol)

2) LED. (I want an LED tank BAD. The shimmer, color pop,and well....efficiency on my college budget electric bill lol)

3) I'm looking to just have a nice zoa/paly collection so I need lighting that'll accommodate that.

Suggestions always welcome!!! as well as tank options.

I might add that I already own a 3.5 JBJ back home in chicago that I might plan on bringing back, but It's kinda scratched and the lighting isn't up to my standards. sooooo any LED lighting advice? If not I'd like suggestions on new tanks that are out there. THanks!

Sorryi was going to comment about that to I would recommend a four gallon finnex delux it's sharp looking and has a canister filter which is nice for a nano reef it comes with strong compact flurecents which are 16 what energy savers which produce enought to keep a wide variety of coral. The only other I would recommend is a Eco pico sorry just wanted a opinion and give you a idea

Deep blue makes nice rimless cubes I think from 3-7.5 gals. You can check out some ADA or GLA aquariums they're rimless. I feel with a small tank as this rimless would look nice, I'm about to start one with just coral and maybe a small invert. For lighting I plan on a par38 I have from rapidLED, and I would suggest them as well. I picked up the mixed colour one with uv LEDs I like the spectrum it has, violet hue. They sell actinic as well. I don't know what your budget is though.

Those looks like a good option for you. The lower temp whites will give you great growth and the extra blues with really pop the colors.
