I'm reconsidering my decision not to quarantine inverts... I don't really have a place to put a second quarantine tank so had decided it wasn't really practical to have an invert QT. I'm realizing that I have an old 2.5gal that I'd once kept some zoas and a hammer in. I'd passed it on to my daughter to use as a freshwater tank for a while, and it's currently sitting empty right where she was using it in our kitchen. The tank is only about 8"x 12" x 8" - super small. I know I can keep it reasonably stable as I've done it before. Is there any reason I can't use this tank, small as it is, as an invert QT?

As long as u can keep water quality where it should be there should be no issues for inverts. Some might fight so maybe don't add many all together.

That won't be much of a problem - the display tank is only 32G and is newly cycled, so I won't be adding a whole lot of anything all that quickly :)

Shrimps even if only 2-3 can fight in a pico. Soaybe quarantine one at a time.

OK, that's good to know. I'd probably be adding them no more than that fast anyway, but I'll keep the fighting potential in mind if I go this route.
