Pico tank lighting and other suggestions

Hello everyone, I am an avid reader of the R2R site and finally going about and starting my first reef tank. I am about to start a pico tank at my office and i am looking for any suggestions specifically lighting for best coral growth and what corals would work best in a small environment.

Are there inexpensive add ons that would be beneficial or is that just over kill? (Top-offs, algae scrubber etc)

I will be setting up an 8 gallon AIO tank.

With a proper water change schedule, an algae reactor or anything similar isn't really necessary. Does the tank come with a skimmer and light like pictured?

yea, the tank pictured is the tank im putting up. Comes with a skimmer, heater, thermometer, pump and everything built into the back. It is called a GankPike. 8 gallon total, 1.5 in the back filtration area 6.5 viewing area.

Unfortunately have not started just yet. New job and its taking up a ton of time. Rather not half butt it just to have it and get some more leisure time to spend on it. But any suggestions or advice would be awesome

Hi, I am also about to start tank. I find this starter kit on Amazon. It sounds amazing for me, but there is so little review on it. Do you get this tank and start to set it up? If so, how is it?
