my tank was set up in August2015.As opposed to most i am looking forward to having large colonies in my tank so i have not intentionally fragged anything yet,only unintentional breakage.

Was 0 and 0 but I have now shut off my skimmer for 6 hrs and am feeding heavy..phosphates at .03 nit rates at .50,,,trying to raise them slowly .I have been dosing nopox

Also I see you have a very nice blue light, LED? I also have LED, and love them. Your corals have great colors. I would love you hear more about the system.

At night I mix it up 2-3 times per week
Reef bugs,reef frenzy,reefroids,oyster feast
Just started daily dosing acropower and potassium...seeing great growth and color!
Planning on raising potassium to 500-550
System is 140 gal ,running 300 micron filter socks,nyos 120,carbon (when necessary for cleaning water)chaeto and marine pure balls and blocks in sump.

I also dose fauna marin colors 1x week 15 ml each and their 123 additives added to my brs 2 part when I refill my alk and calcium

Ok so you do feed heavily which is exactly my theory. When you have low PO4 and NO3 as long as you feed well, often, and constantly then corals do very well. My numbers are a little higher (NO3=3-5ppm and PO4 .05-.08). My tank was fallow until last week. Things have started to look much better since I started feeding the tank without fish and upped my NO3 and PO4 directly.

What about those lights? Like the color.

500+ for potassium? Why are you trying to raise it so high? Anything above 440 and you might risk things burning.
Nice colonies! Please don't let that giant hydnophora lps coral reach out and eat that beautiful green and purple tip smooth skin acro!

Recently attended a webinar on coral color and growth...no problem raising potassium into the 600s ,I'm raising mine slowly,,,presently at 470,,looking to peg the salifert test at the high end and then send to triton after another month...definitely seeing a difference in some of my sps that turned green coming back with reds and pinks
