Getting ready to do the big switch from my 55 to the 90 gallon upgrade tank. And the new set up is going to have a refugium in it.I am thinking about sand, some rock rubble with cheato and a few snalis and crabs to keep it clean. What is everyone else running in ther fuge and pics of what they look like to give me some ideas would be nice also. Thanks!

I would not put too many crabs and snails you really want to let the Fuge be a fuge and too many larger inverts might do too good of a job IMO

I made the fuge from Frp and Mdf
I would not use MDF again but would use Plywood instead
Mdf will swell if it becomes wet

Good luck with your Fuge setup!!

I already have the fuge made out of a 30 gallon glass tank. And it will be in the stand under the 90 gallon. So should i just put sand, rock and cheato in it with a small. powerhead.

yep that sounds like a good start
I went with the mud instead of the sand
The mangroves like it that way IMO
I know Mangroves really do not reduce nitrates in Fuges all that well but they look cool

Cant see in here too well because its so packed with cheato but theres also some calerpa and a xmas tree worm rock in there. Im starting to get the worms in to m Dt now which is cool
