I quickly searched for a previous thread without success about Acan Lords pinched and showing skeleton. It is happening to a few of my Acans, but not all. Can't see anything on them. Coral Rx was used on one piece and I didn't see any positive results. Parameters that I test are all great, regular water changes, etc. Any ideas?

Using the Outer Orbit metal halide/ power compact combination, however I took out the power compacts and put in Reef Brite XHO actinic LED's. 14K Phoenix halides. Halides run noon to 3, off for 2 hours and then from 5 to 8. LED's go on from 10 - 6, off for 2 hours and then on from 8 - 10. Reef Brites are new but the pinching problem is not. Danny's Tropical Sunset Acan is on the bottom of my 125, center with good flow. Maybe too much flow? A green no name 2/3rd the way up the column on the far left side has one polyp pinching, and my Neptune's crown is 1/2 way up on the right. Not directly under the halide, but close.

I would try moving them to area of the tank that has less light and lower flow.

I agree I would move them to a shaded or less direct light area with lower flow and then u can always move them aroun once they get happy again if u choose but I would keep then low light an low to moderate flow

Moving them hasn't helped! Now starting on yet another colony! Something has to be eating them.

Do you feed the acans? I noticed this on a colony that i neglected to feed for many months.

Did some additional research and decided I have black bugs. I did a dip using Bayer Advanced insecticide I purchased from Lowe's in the home and garden section. Pretty interesting stuff. Dipped two pieces yesterday and they look great today. With Acans, I can't see additional growth or anything yet, but the flesh was much more puffy today. Dipped the other pieces today, and they are looking stressed right now, but again they appear bette than before. Thanks for all the input.
