My white pincushion urchin has seemed to pick up one of my nassarius snails, should I just let the snail be and it will be fine? Or should I remove it? What have some other people done in this situation?

What if I don’t take it off, will the snail die? Cause I just took him off and the urchin picked him up againUrchins like to pickup things and carry them on their backs. If it's a living thing I would remove it from the urchins back. Be gentle while removing it though.
I also have some bumblebee snail shells I thought they were alive and they came in on the urchins back, should i remove their shells or could I just leave them in? I don’t want the shells to desinegrate in the tank.I'm not sure of the snails capabilities to escape an urchin. Maybe try moving the snail to another side of the tank?

That’s so awesome thanksIf you think there is life on it I would remove it. Maybe buy a 3D printed urchin hat to keep it from stealing your other livestock. I would also keep your coral frags glued down as these guys like to take those too.

Hello everyone, I just want to share my little a little discovery with you guys. After seen my sea urchins carrying snail shells, rocks on their back I decide to read more about it. Studies reviewed the possible reasons would be to protect themselves against predators and/or full-spectrum light...www.reef2reef.com
I have a couple shells from the beach I think I got a long time ago, could I just use a couple of those, I think there cleanRemove live ones and get some shell from lfs.
The shells will not desintigrate unless you put them in a calcium reactor as media, lol.
Some small rock rubble the size of snails works to.
Should not be a problem.I have a couple shells from the beach I think I got a long time ago, could I just use a couple of those, I think there clean
