Just curious, haven't had an issue yet with the discharge of pineapple sponges from my hob filter after a water change, but is it hurting anything? After I turn my hob filter back on after a water change, a slurry of pineapple sponges come pour out and into the tank, clouding the tank up with sponge parts. It usually clears up after about 30 minutes. Just curious if this is actually bad for the tank.

No- they’re short lived and often associated with silicates from DI resin, new sand and/or dry rock

Thanks, just curious if it had any negative effect when the flood of them come out of the hob filter.
No but in numbers may restrict flow a little
