Pineapple sponge question

Has anyone ever had issues with an over run of pineapple sponges in your sump? They began popping up in my return pump compartment a month ago and now there's about 50.

I guess it's a good thing?

It’s a good thing but they mostly come and go

I had the same issue but they tend to die out over time. I wouldn't worry about it. Do you have pics?

Ya, not a big deal at all. Chances are in a few weeks or months they'll just be gone. I had a ton, forgot about them, now they're just not there anymore
