Image under white lighting.

Yup, nothing to worry about. Harmless filter feeders and good for a tank.
They will eventually die off in your DT as they don't do well in bright light, new tanks, and tanks with low nutrients.

Ive read that pineapple sponges grow off of the silicates in the water? So once they are gone they should die off.

I have the same type of sponge as your second picture and the only the problem so far with it is that it was growing under where my rock flower was and the rock nem would close up when it touch the sponge. I just try and pull it off with tweezers but its kinda on there. I am just leaving it at this point.

All my pineapples died after an "outbreak" of them. Pretty confident I haven't seen any int the tank for the past couple months.

Pretty much.
You're close enough to me to come look at my tank if you want to see the sponges in my sump. They tend to live longer in low-light areas.

thanks I may take you up on that !
Just don’t want to constantly be “fixing” if it will naturally right itself .

don’t mind them - but they are unsightly

Regardless, with lots of light in your tank, the ones out in the open will eventually fade away.
The ones in my sump room are mostly only subjected to day light from a window and I like having them as they, as I stated earlier, are great filter feeders.

LMK if you ever want to do a tank tour.
