I have a pretty significant number of pineapple sponges in my tank, mostly in caves/sump areas. I am not sure what's stirring them up, but recently I've had what looks like floaters in my water column pretty regularly. Slightly larger than microbubbles (I made sure they're not microbubbles) all the way up to fairly significant chunks. Is there any recommended actions to clean this up? My natural reaction would be to scrape them out of the sump, but I've read they are nothing but beneficial for my tank's filtration.

Leave in the sump nothing but good maybe net some out if they get to many for your liking

I too have pineapples everywhere, they come and go though. I dont really like them in the DT, but they dont bother anything.

When i go to clean them out of the sump (every so often, when they build up), i stop all water flow, scrape them off and empty my sump. I have read that its a good idea to do that process, so they dont spread, but not sure i fully believe it :).

I have a ton of them in my AIO it started in my back chambers and then I cleaned the rock rubble I have back there and they made their way to the display. I don’t mine them and they are in every cave/dark area in my display now.
