So I was admiring my large elegance tonight, I had to move it forward as my Blue dotted Jawfish likes to bury everything... or dig under everything... so I moved it forward an inch.... I looked at the back of it and thought I was going to loose my cookies... what are the hairy sacs ? Large hairy sacs! I haven't had this view, and so I started to search to ID them...

so I think they are pineapple sponges... ? I've read that these are little filters and not bad for the ecosystem... but should they all be
attached to one elegance? I mean she seems happy inflating and deflating... her tentacles get very full during the day... she seems ok.

Pluck em or leave em'. They look like milk sacs... Its nighttime so she's deflating. See them on the back .... right side.

They go with time, you'll be fine. Good filter feeders in my opinion. How old is your tank?

I still have a ton of them in my overflow and return area, I might be overfeeding the tank :)

From everything I’ve read on here pineapple sponges are good. filter feeders.
I can’t really see in your pics though what your talking about.
But if you think they are a problem you can always remove them.

If they are pineapple sponges they I would leave them. I don’t see them though.

My tank is fairly young, I've only had the elegance about 3 months. Thanks for the reply!

They are harmless and add to your biodiversity. I would keep 'em.
I have them come and go constantly in my tank, in different areas. I think they're pretty cute.

I only ask because they typically show up in the display early on and over time they’ll disappear on there own. Post another picture so we can confirm the id. It’s hard to miss though they look like little white pineapples.
