Hello everyone, I am getting differing opinions on whether or not to place a 1/2" styrofoam "board" between my tank and stand so I wanted to see what you guys think. Tank is 72" x 18" x 25". Some say the tank is already built to relieve pressure points so the foam is not needed. I sent an email to the manufacturer (Planet Aquariums) but received no reply. Thanks

Is it a rimless tank? I've always used a thin neoprene mat under rimless aquariums.

Definetely check with manufacturer but I believe that will be a rimless aquarium and you would use a mat/foam

Thanks guys, I should have given more info. It's a rimmed Planet Aquarium tank with two center braces on top. My LFS owner, who has a great business and has the best looking tanks I have ever seen in a store, says to put it directly on the wooden stand as the seams/rims of the tank are built to absorb any pressure spots. Everyone else says to use the pink board. I really trust my LFS guy so maybe I just answered my own question?
