OMG I had no idea this was acropora divaricata!!! Are people getting it to stay branchy like a staghorn or does it cluster together close? I would love to get a decent sized frag but not sure if anyone local has it.

Thanks still learning the best practices of shipping. Highs above freezing this time of year in Wisconsin are going to be rare but hopefully less rare at the hubs.

Carry on folks. Nice pic btw Ty

Fingers crossed on my shipment from you Monday!

This one has been on my list ever since I saw that reefbuilders article with pics of the colony. Soon....

My pink caddy will not show it's polyps. It has encrusted over the plug and grown slightly, and starting to show some colors. But I've had it for at least 2 or 3 months, and other corals around it are growing and showing. This, my RMF red devil, and a tiny Ding Dang milli all seem to be in suspended animation. Don't know why they aren't doing anything, especially since other folks say it's such a fast grower.

Do you all have this in high light/flow, or what?

Here is a recent picture of my colony-- as most frags, the pink caddy can be underwhelming, but as the colony grows the colors do develop nicely. Mine grows stag horn like, I believe it will continue to improve coloration as well. This coral looks great from the straight on as well, the purple/yellow and white tips are stunning. It is hardy and a fast grower as others have pointed out. This pic is the best I can do with my iPhone..

It took about 2.5 years- I have fragged that colony extensively to pay off my initial investment so that gives you an idea how rapid the growth can be. The yellow/purples develop best in lower light 300 par or so. Haven’t seen the “pink” yet

Thanks, makes sense. Frag I have is growing very fast and doesn't seem to need a lot of light...at least for good growth.

Well here is the goal for a pink caddy! Best I have ever seen! (NOT Mine)

It's over-saturated in colour though. Completely JUICED UP. Pink Caddy got hyped with photos like that. I've seen them in person. They are not that bright nor attractive looking in person. This is where naming marketing won over actual beauty of the coral. They are also fast growers. They are available to me locally at attractive prices. I've not bothered to purchase one.

Agree that picture is messed up. I really think this coral looks best under my radium. Under blues it's really meh.

Here's the photo that I referred to above, that first got me interested. I've still never seen a colony in person.
It seems like the prices on frags are coming down pretty quickly, so maybe I will soon. :)

My minicolony (if I can call it that yet) looks very similar to this under halide.
