I woke up this morning to find a LOT of pink circles amongst the green star polpys. Some appear to be sitting there and some appear to attached by a slimy thread. Any ideas what this might be? Do I need to be worried? I attempted to take a picture but they are so small it is hard to get a good picture. Thanks!

Oh! I see them now. Yeah are they attached? Looks like fish eggs, food, or maybe poop.
I wondered about fish eggs but they would have to be clownfish if anything. They are attached by what looks like stringy slime. Definitely not poop or food. It is hard to tell in the pictures but there are hundreds of them.

Test your parameters and come back

Do you have 2 clowns?

I’m telling you. It’s dinos. Eggs don’t look like that. Try turning off all your flow and scoop some up. Put it in a paper towel and send pics

Doesn’t look like dinos to me. but if you suck some up and they hold they’re shape in the process, you can rule out Dinos and get a solid pic up close.

Clownfish eggs do look similar to what I’m seeing in the pic… however they don’t lay them on coral so not so sure about that… they kinda look like dinos but not so much. GSP do not spread with eggs they grow a purple mat… so if I were you, take some out lay them on a towel and get closer pics that way it will become easier to identify.
