Hey all , so I picked up a pink floyd last month, and it has turned a deep solid red, not brown. My po4 is at. 01 not sure about nitrates, but last I checked it was .05 all other corals sps and lps are fine and coloring up. What could cause this ? Sorry no pic of it yet.

You sure you got a floyd... never seen one go red. They will go green at times but that always seems to come and go on mine. Lower nutrients will keep it bright yellow. Lower light will also make it show some green and less vibrant yellow

I got it from a reputable seller at a swap. It was yellowish/greenish when I bought it.

that looks like a brown out to me... maybe not enough light or tank is not stable enough. You have other sps acros that have good color?

Yes I have my PC rainbow is colorful , red dragon is actually red,Oregon blue tort nice beeping blue , fox flame is good only this one is having issues. I couldn't fine much Info on it. Its places 3/4 the way down in a standard 150. My po4 is .02 nitrate is at 5. Tank is lit by 4 a360x and t5 purple plus bulbs

Yes it does look like it has a bluish tint to it just wasnt sure if that was from the camera. Im really not sure you have a floyd.... either

That makes two of us, any idea what it maybe?

I’d say that’s not a Floyd. Mine has gone yellow and green at times and more maroon polyps then red. How high and hot do you run your lights? If your nutrients are really that low it shouldn’t be brown? It goes brown over high nutrients like nitrates 25+ and po4 0.30+ or little light. I have had my best success with blasting my lights are running nitrate 5-10 and po4 0.05-0.07

I'm running 3 a360x at he moment with t5 support. Intensity is at 80% I had it about 3/4 of the way down. Just moved it up to 1/4 way down today. It was yellowish green when I bought it. The lights are 7 inches above the water line. No other sps is brown at all, these are some of my other corals
