I've been looking online but haven't seen this specific thing. Hopefully one of the experts here can tell me what this is?
I thought at first it was small tube worms that would die off eventually. But it has turned into a pale pink, fuzzy, ...something. Enclosed a few pics. At this point its on a snail shell, and the sheltered side of one rock but i do see other tiny patches. The pictures don't really capture the color, it looks very much like pale pink cotton candy.

Appears to be either chrysophytes, or a type of fungai. the tubes are colonial tube worms. Did you just change RO resin by chance?
These are indicators of high nutrients and comes to question. . . How much and how often are you feeding each day ?
Liquid vibrant may help attack this for you

I do intentionally run high nutrients. Any danger to letting it remain? I'd prefer to avoid chemical intervention in the tank although I do dose microbacter and weekly coralvite & purpleup supplements. Tried vibrant twice before due to algae, and got a serious cyano outbreak which went away very quickly after stopping the vibrant. Have since upped my cuc significantly.

Had to google chrysophytes LOL. It's definitely not golden. Its a very pale, purply pink. Doing some home repairs but later I'll have to drag out the microscope and get a better look.

Looks like hydroids.
Took a sample to get a close up look and I definitely see hydroids. Assuming the pinkish tint could be detritus, reef roids, whatever, that is clinging to them. Unfortunately this is also the same rock that is hosting a significant pod population, rock urchin, several zoas and a gorgonian. What is the best treatment you would recommend in this situation?
