Pink Hiatin Anemone Problem

That super clear section is it moving it’s foot to move. The falling on the side isn’t a good sign though. Give it a lot of flow, and it will anchor on that rock more than likely, and be a lot more open

Just needs some R2R perking up. Reduce the whites slightly and increase blue, a slight water change and check ammonia and nitrate levels and feed only a couple of pieces of food 2X per week.
So turn off the white lights for right now

What type of flow should I get I have had her for a week now and was doing great

Reduce it, not necessarily turn it off. As for water flow. . . should be moderate whereas its not blowing the tentacles around and upsetting the nem.

Boy, lots of different topics in this thread. Let's see what I can remember. BTW, I have a condy just like yours.

I only feed my condy once per week, a small chunk of frozen fish. Shrimp would work too.

She's just moving around to find a place that's more comfortable. Otherwise she looks great. Congrats on bringing her back from the edge.

The brown stuff in your tank is diatoms. All new tanks get them. They'll go away in a month or so. You can blow them off with a turkey baster and suck them out if you like.

Hermit crabs will get along fine with your nem. I have tons of them, 3 different species. Never had any problem with them coexisting. However, I do suspect the condy of eating one of my Bangai cardinals once.

Never add H2O2 (hydrogen peroxide) to your tank while the condy is in it. I did this once and it irritated the nem. It spewed its own toxins into my tank and killed a bunch of my corals and my bubble tip. I thought the condy was a goner too, but it eventually recovered. For a while, it looked like a big ball of snot. I almost tossed it out. Now I'm glad I didn't. They are pretty resilient.

Definitely get rid of one of the six lines. They get along at the LFS because they are juveniles. As they get older, they get territorial and will kill each other.

I would add more rocks and eventually more cleanup crew. With a new tank, you'll inevitably have an algae bloom soon. You'll need more snails and crabs to deal with that. Don't fret if some die. I didn't have much luck keeping them alive until my my tank was 4 or 5 months old.

Don't overfeed and don't make impulse buys. Research everything on liveaquaria.com before you buy. Check for compatibility. With a six line already, avoid peaceful fish. Stick to semi-aggressive ones that can stand up for themselves. If you put a firefish in there with your six line, he'll pester it to death.

Good luck!

Do I hear a happy girl?

She'll probably never sit up on top. My condy always likes to hang out under a rock ledge just like yours.

If you're buying rock at Petco or PetSmart, it's usually much cheaper at a local fish store. I think I paid $2.50/lb last time. You can also buy it on Amazon. Of course, it'll probably be dry so you'll want to rinse the dust off really well before you put it in your tank or it'll make your water cloudy for a while.

Oh your is just like mine that's awesome I'm definitely getting a powerhead for in there more flow.

If you're trying to keep to a budget, these little wavemakers work surprisingly well for the price. They are quiet too. I use one in my 10 gal quarantine tank. Two of them would probably work nicely in yours.

What brand? There are a few reef safe ich treatments out there. It's debatable whether or not they are effective. Do not use anything with copper in it.

That's What I Bought Is That Fine To Where I Dont Need To Take The Fish And Stuff Out And Put In A Different Tank
