Pink montipora turning light pale pink

Hi all can anyone tel me as to why this is happening to my monti cap params all in check everything in my tank has crazy colours just the monti thats pale

Looks like its bleaching, where is it in the tank? Maybe too high of light.

Top of the rock work and its not bleaching its been like this for 3 weeks here and there i get a patch of pink

Are the other corals sps? Are you artificially driving down no3 and po4 with gfo and/or carbon dosing? What is your lighting set up?

I run carbon and once a week i used to dose 1ml of nopox but stopped dosing three weeks back i run a zetlight 1201L controller

I hate to say it but it looks dead. I know you said your parameters are in check but what are they?
It might be getting too much light/and or an led hot spot. I hesitate to say that because I have monti’s growing like crazy under 450-500 par but my leds are mounted 16” above the water. This way I don’t have any “hot spots”. I also don’t run a skimmer, gfo or nopox.

That light only generates 16 watts of light. How big is the tank? Do you have any other sps in there? It could be starved from not enough light.

13g tank thats the only sps in the tank other stock is lps and softies

True 0 po4 isn’t ideal either. Are you using the Hanna ultra low phosphorus checker?

True 0 po4 isn’t ideal either. Are you using the Hanna ultra low phosphorus checker?

Just using red sea kits and for a second opinion i take samples to my lfs

I honestly don’t know enough about that light to say one way or the other. I have a 15 watt kessil Tuna flora focused 6” above My chaeto and it’s delivery 350 par, but that’s over a 1-2 gallon area.
It looks starved in the pic either from not enough light or the water is being stripped. Too much light usually pales them out and then they rtn/stn. I would remove the carbon for now and turn off your skimmer if you have one and hope for the best.

The problem with this is if this is nutrient deficiency along with higher alk and you were to add light intensity it will make the problem much worse. Need to know po4 at a resolution of .00 ppm phosphate first.
