I can't seem to find anything else like this on the internet. The pictured chunk is about the size of a golf ball, and it's very bouncy and rubbery. It's color varies from red to light pink to light purple.

It occasionally grows in my system, but always starts out growing in different ways. The pictured bunch started out as a red spot that slowly started plating off the rock before forming branches. Another colony(?) has just begun growing, but it's branching from the start.

I will add a picture of the new forming colony when I get home.

That's the closest thing I could find to it, but mine doesn't appear nearly as leafy.

Maybe it just grows differently in my tank for whatever reason. I'll update in a few hours with a couple more pictures.
Yes, I noticed some of the plant in the melevs reef looked similar in the rear of the photo and some looked broader on the leaf in the front area of the photo they posted.

Nemastoma sp.
This looks a lot more like it! Although none of the google images look exactly like it. Just judging by the 3 growths in my tank, it forms and colors very differently based on lighting and flow.

The really interesting part is that the initial spot has been on my live rock for around 8 years, and only recently started growing after I converted the system from FOWLR to a reef. I always thought it was just red cyano until it started growing about 8 months ago.

Here are a couple more pictures of the other colonies.
