So caught slipping at LFS trading in some old equiptment and saw what was listed as a Striped Pink Skunk Clownfish. Now here's the deal, the fish is clearly pink has the dorsal stripe but..... No side stripes. Now I just spent 20 minutes googling pics of them and never found one that looks close. I realize there are orange skunks but the specimen I posses seems to be a healthy creamy pink. Any ideas or confirmation would be appreciated ;) Can't post pics yet as lights are off for mandatory acclimation procedures ;)

Heres some pics I took when I turned on my blues for a quick second. If you can tell, he is all pink with JUST the white dorsal stripe, no side stripes. So is he a pink, orange or a hybrid skunk of somekind?

www.segrestfarms.com is a wholesale fish supplier that lists the Pink Skunk Clown in their catalog. There is no picture though and it is noted as 'rarely available'. Anyone can look at their catalog and have the local lfs order from Segrest if they already have an account. I got a tour of their SW shipping facility - WOW is all I can say. Looking forward to going to their farm where they actually raise the FW fish.

So after doing some more research, I am convinced I have a pink skunk with orange skunk markings...... Could two different kinds of clowns mate and create a hybrid like the one I have?

Looks to be the Pacific Clownfish:

The Pacific clownfish (Amphiprion pacificus) was only recently described. It is very similar, but it is pinkish-brown, lacks a head bar, and is currently only known from Samoa and the Fijian Islands (which overlaps the range of A. perideraionM).
