I missed the value question. Most people who would be able to care for that colony would not buy it from you... they know that colonies do not transport well nor do they adapt well to new surroundings. If sold whole, it would likely suffer from some RTN/STN and take a long time to recover. Some of them might take it, make room for it and see what happens, but they would not likely give much (or anything) for it.
The real value is in smaller chunks, no larger than probably 2x2" that could start again and grow/develop to their surroundings. Value on these are area dependent and there is probably not a large appetite in a local market where some will sell very quickly to folks who really want them and then a bunch might sit for a while. In my area, I would say that you could get $40-50 for a hunk once encrusted. $10-20 for a 1 inch, single stick frag.
If you could get it to demonstrate a second color, then it would be worth more. Most A. Hyanthicus will get a blueish hue with strong MH lighting that really contrasts with the red. This is not as easy with other lights.
