Hi so I’ve had a male pink square in my 75 for 8 months. He ate everything and was always out. Randomly two days ago he started hiding out and I don’t think he’s eating. Not sure what’s up all the other fish are doing good as usual and I havent added any new fish or changed anything. I’ve never seen any aggression from the other fish towards him. I looked at him earlier today and he didn’t have any spots or outward signs of disease. Still colorful and looks normal just acting strange. Any advice?

I feed frozen mysis shrimp or LRS, prime reef flakes and a nori sheet daily. Haven’t changed feeding for a while. I tried some frozen brine shrimp today to see if I could get him to eat and he didn’t go for it.

No new fish and yes mine was the same he was the most aggressive eater in my tank

Looks good at its' skin and assure no uronema, or white poop which they can get easily.
Also verify your tank temperature and salinity as well as ammonia level

Salinity is 1.025, ammonia 0, temp 77-78. Full reef tank stable parameters. I’m going to look at him again now but when I looked at him earlier he looked normal.

Try pouring food into a power head. Moving will usually trigger a more aggressive feeding response.

He looks the same still hiding and not accepting food. I don’t understand the sudden change in behavior but I’m worried he’ll die of starvation. As far as I can see no fish is bothering him and he doesn’t have any outward signs of disease.

Yeah I always feed with the pumps on he was the most agressive feeder in my tank
