I bought a frag of about 20 pink zoos from a LFS about 2 weeks ago and I noticed the other day that the pink color on a few of them was turning brown. It looked like they had something on them. I had no dip so I made a FW dip and dipped them for about 10 minutes. They opened the next day and are all back to pink and look fine. What do you think it was??

Could have been the so-called "zoa pox." Often the affected polyps will look like they have bumps on them, then they'll turn brown and die. No one really knows what causes it, but it's completely treatable.

my guess its something else as if pink then 99% sure they are palys not zoas and ive yet to have a paly get the pox.... cant be im lucky cause ive had pox spread amongst zoas without ever any palys suffering.

There are pink zoas out there, these are zoanthids, not palys. My pink ones turned a little brown when i didnt have enough light on them.
