Pinkish see thru flatworms

I have these see thru flat worms covering my leathers there is a good many of them I don't see them eating anything just crawling on the leathers was wondering about using flatworm exit I have heard of there is a lot of them and they all for it would pollute your tank I am looking for clarification should I use the exit or look for a wrasse to take them out predatorily? Any advice would be appreciative.

If they on you leathers they might be planaria.
Do you have a picture of them?
With the right ID on them I can give you a plan of attack

Planarian alright.
You can battle them the natural way by adding some wrasses to your tank.
Melanurus wrasse, leopard wrasses and coris wrasses work the best.
Flat worm exit works too but has a bad site effect as dying flatworms produce a toxic that can fail your tank bad and stress out fish.

That's a Waminoa sp and they are a pain. One good thing though, they are not Convolutriloba, so you don't have to worry about the toxins after death. They don't release any.

I did lose my 6 line not long ago then I started noticing the flat worms I think I will pull the leathers and dip them then add a 6 line I had a coris but hate the sand storm any other wrasse that eats them good that don't cause a sand storm?

I have coralrx or would peroxide be a better dip? Definately cheaper lol

I'm not saying treatments wouldn't be useful, I have just never done them. I've had Convolutriloba, but basically went in everyday and sucked them out, cleaned house and kept things tidy and watched what I was feeding. They went in time and IMO, this hobby is one big ball of waxing and waning.

I don't know if a Leopard Wrasse eats them or not, but ours never kicked up sand.

Finally got around to dipping my leathers in coralrx needless to say man there was a bunch of flat worms lol

Did you use the CoralRX with the product's dosing directions? Did you have to dip again?

Yeah I have since dipped 2 more times and still finding them in the tank they seem to only like mushrooms and leathers though think I may have to Bayer them the coralrx got some off but didn't even slow them down I left them in the bowl all day and it didn't hurt them at all

I've completely wiped these with FlatwormExit, you have to prepare with carbon and water changes, and remove as many as you can with syphoning, but they die in few hours.
