Over the last few years in this hobby I have been trying not to act without patience and always thinking a lot about what and when to add my animals. However, last week I am afraid I've acted without thinking very deeply.

I have a 68g tank. Until last week my fish list was: 1 yellow tank (very small, but I am thinking it shouldn't be here); 1 firefish; 1 elongated dottyback; 1 neon goby yellow; 1 female Randall anthia; 1 blue flasher wrasse; 1 exquisite fairy wrasse male; 1 pylei fairy wrasse (bought as male, but has lost its black spot and black tail); 1 lunatus fairy wrasse (bought as a male, but still juvenile).

Last Friday I went to my LFS and met this incredible pintail fish in person. A very active, colorful, supermale and amazing fish. Also I made a very good deal on it. So, resuming it, I bought it. Brought it home and acclimated it as I do with all my fish. The fish ate every single day, from the very first one. It always goes after food but never goes to the surface and I never saw it swimming with the other wrasses. Every time the crescent tail sees it outside his cave they start chasing each other (the pintail is bigger than the lunatus). No one is hurt (not even tail or anything) and the pintail is eating just fine. I am worried, however, with the fact that it does not get out the cave and may be losing some color (even though I have never seen such a beautiful fish).

Do you think I should be worried or should I just wait a few days or weeks and he will learn to live with the others? Do you guys have any suggestions or tips to share with me? Please, I really want to make it work!!

Thank you!!

My pintails undergowing brook treatment rite now =( but imo if the wrasses arent fighting to the death, keep everyone well fed and the aggression should go away after a little while, theyll be nipping nd nipped fins for quite a while tho

fairy wrasses will always chase one another, its usually due to tank size constrains as long as no one is singled out, they should be fine.

I have used a acclimation box! What should I be paying attention to? What would tell me something is wrong? Also, do you guys think that the presence of the pintail may make my lunatus get some more colour faster? Is there any risk my pintail turn female and lose colour definitely?? Thank you!!!

Check that link above in post 3; I cover that. ;)

Maybe, maybe not. There's no way to predict such; those results can go either way (faster or slower) or make no difference.

Is there any risk my pintail turn female and lose colour definitely??
If the pintail is not yet a terminal male, there's some small risk but it would be rather uncommon in captivity.
