Pintail wrasse distended stomach

Pintail wrasse has a distented stomach on one side of body. It's the area behind the fin thats a bit lighter in shade. What's wrong with him? Could he be constipated because I haven't seen anything come out of him yet. He's been eating like a monster this last week. Been in therapeutic levels of copper for about 1 week. 1.83 ppm coppersafe tested with hanna checker. Also has been treated with two rounds of general cure. I don't know what's wrong. He's hiding a lot now, before he was swimming excitedly everywhere. Tank is fully cycled qt tank. There is some sand and a live rock. 7 other clownfish in same tank. I have spotted white poop but assumed it was because of the high protein diet.

Copper needs to be at 2-2.5 ppm to be effective.

He's in hiding now. He was swimming very actively before. Also I should mention the clownfish had white poop I haven't seen him poop yet. Coppersafe I thought was supposed to be between 1.5-2.0?

I do not favor food with general cure as it is in essence gut loading medication however Metrozanidole - Seachem metro can be done at 5gm weight which is a super tiny amount. If overdosed can cause more harm than good Especially if mixed with Copper and Therapeutic level is 2.25-2.5 and should be achieved within

What is ammonia and nitrate level of tank as well as age of tank ?

Qt tank has been setup about 45 days. Ammonia is 0. Nitrate is 3. Nitrite looks a little less than 1. I did actually switch to pellets two days ago and that's when his attitude changed.

Yes, pellets as suspected can cause blockage and other palatable /digestive issues.
I believe as long as fish is eating, feeding it Brine shrimp will help it digest and pass it and the bulge may be indigestion or constipation

Coppersafe needs to be above 2.0 to be in the therapeutic range. A full dose is 2.5 ppm

The lighter, discolored area that I see is above the stomach. Angled forward like that, it likely is something that involves rows of scales (because they angle like that as well). This could be Uronema. That disease shows up in angled bands like that.

Not two weeks but 30 days - CONTINUOUS

One angel fish died of uronema before. He was in that tank a week ago before I switched tanks. If a fish in qt has uronema does that mean none of the fish can go into the display tank anymore?

No, internal Uronema isn’t very contagious, the fish arrive with it.
I’m hoping this isn’t Uronema, but you’ll know it if if the lesion starts to turn pink/red.
