Anyone know what could cause this? I have it tightened as much as it will go using channel locks without breaking something yet it still drips? Should I replace the union or will there be a better way

yes this drain over flow, clean glass at bulk ,and washer ,and bottom bulk ,and reinstall wet. hand tight ,lil snug.

hint you can do this from below with finger tip, careful of sharp edge.. ;)
Trying to remove the bulkhead nut but it quite literally will not budge and it’s just starting to destroy the plastic nut, plus it’s getting so frustrating

try spraying with tank water or rodi, put cloth under pliers to hold threaded body ,just to hold to break free, careful not to crush threads ,only holding till nut breaks free.

When I had similar problem , I removed bulkhead, cleaned up and used silicone on both sides of rubber seal, that way did not have to replace the seal or use too much force to tighten. Just my 2 cents

After almost 3 hours I’ve officially given up on trying to save the bulkhead, going to cut it off with a dremel and order a new one lol. Never thought a simple seal problem would end up with me replumbing the whole thing

enough flow in tank? use powerhead or leave something running in sump, not to foul out water.
bummer was hoping for a better result...
