Just picked up a Pipe Organ Coral from the LFS. I know that corals will close up when stressed but this coral closed up and has a white slime looking stuff all over it. Is this normal? Has anyone experienced this?

We maybe need a picture, but often corals close up for a while as they get used to their new environment.

Also a set of water parameters would be useful

It opened up and is doing very well. Sorry, I panicked a bit when I saw the white slime over each tube. Looks to be a protector to keep anything out of the tubes.
side note: this coral has a definite smell to it. A very weird odor for sure.
