Pistol shrimp and yellow watchman gobby

I have a question about what type of pistol shrimp is pared up with the yellow watchman gobby. I don’t want to get the wrong one and have an absolute disaster. Which one do I get first the pistol or the gobby? Where is a reliable source to buy them from?

Tiger does well

I dont think it matters what you get first. But remember sometimes they may just not like each other, though unlikely.

I have a Orange Spotted Shrimp goby and a tiger pistol shrimp that are paired, the tiger pistol is fantastic and quite a character. I ended up with the tiger pistol as a friend had one paired with a yellow watchmen so you should be good to go!

I love the Randall's or candy cane shrimp. Initially, I got one at the same time as a yellow watchman goby. Unfortunately, I lost the goby (they had paired up after a few days). I put a hi fin goby in next and he paired with the shrimp in less than 24 hours. They seem quite happy together. I had heard that getting them at the same time would help them pair up faster, but not sure and that wasn't really my experience.

Sometimes you can get them paired already. Either candy, or tiger will work for the yellow watchman. They are so fun.

I did have a candy pistol that killed a shrimp goby because they did not get along. It can happen.
